Play Therapy: Disney Bound is a fully immersive continuing education conference held inside Disneyland® Resort. Now looking towards its fourth annual year, Disney Bound will gather 50+ licensed play therapists and mental health clinicians from all over the country for a week of clinical training, community, and experiential learning.

Our Spring 2027 theme - The Force at Play - explore the forces in play therapy that guide toward healing, hope, and transformation. This is not a conference with a Disney trip attached. The magic is the method. Play Therapy is built on the evidence that play is how humans heal, and so immersing clinicians in this playful setting is pedagogy in action.

Our therapists are carrying some of the heaviest caseloads in the field. When you invest in the clinician, you invest in every client they will ever see. Research on therapist self-care, vicarious trauma and burnout consistently points to the same conclusion; the quality of a client’s care is directly affected by the wellbeing of their provider. Investing in therapist joy, rest, and restoration is not indulgent - it is evidence-informed. Disney Bound is where clinical rigor and genuine renewal happen simultaneously. 

A portion of every sponsorship funds the Disney Bound Access Scholarship, which covers full registration for one clinician per year who could not otherwise attend. ​​​This means your investment goes directly toward expanding access to high-quality clinical training for providers who are underrepresented in professional development and overrepresented in the communities that need them most - BIPOC clinicians, LGBTQ+ providers, rural practitioners, early-career therapists, and those serving low-income populations.
