In this informative discussion on how to navigate the clinical licensing process in New Mexico. We will share how to apply for your temporary license and the requirements for a master level clinical license - LMHC, LAMFT, LMSW and School Counselors will be covered. We will review the updated application process and the requirements of a state approved supervisor.

Jessica:
Jessica Cauthorne is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and state approved supervisor. Jessica specializes in working with diverse population, including the LGBTQIA community. Jessica has been a program manager, a clinical supervisor, and a permanency planning supervisor with Protective Services. She has extensive training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Play Therapy and Jessica utilizes art therapy and sand tray interventions for those who enjoy exploring such options. While she currently serves as a Clinical Director, Jessica has also supervised clinical interns while working in an inpatient psychiatric setting. Through positive support, case staffing, mentoring, encouragement, and a healthy dose of humor, Jessica will work move you toward your professional goals.
Maria:
A self-described geek, Maria Laquerre-Diego is a CEO and Owner who is committed to increasing access to mental health services and breaking down the stigma surrounding therapy services. As a therapist turned CEO, Maria has developed a unique perspective when it comes to mental health and the barriers surrounding mental health treatment. Influenced by her time at New Mexico State University in the Family and Consumer Science department, and University of New Hampshire’s Marriage and Family Therapy department, Maria has turned her dedication to giving back and supporting future generations of therapists. In addition to supporting mental health providers, Maria takes an active role in addressing the continued stigma of mental health services through the use of pop culture – everything from movies and television shows to superheroes and Disney characters. Maria has spoken about mental health at several local events, has served as an officer on professional boards and has provided training to clinicians all over the country while maintaining her and her family’s roots as Aggies! Outside of the office, Maria can be found spending time with her family and loved ones, exploring the world through travel, and creating cosplays for herself, her husband and their two little ones. Lisa:
Lisa is a native of New Mexico and a graduate of NMSU, from which she obtained her Master of Arts degree in Counseling and Guidance. Lisa has provided mental health treatment in a variety of settings including inpatient psychiatric care, public school, college, and in private practice. Lisa currently splits her tie between her job as a school social worker for a local high school and a therapist in her private practice with A New Hope Therapy Center. Lisa's areas of special interest includes working with those experiencing postpartum mood and anxiety disorders, anger, and self-esteem issues.

This is an hybrid training. You will receive an email with the Zoom link and any handouts the day prior to the training. In person seats are available and will allow for us to sign a Form C for you!

A New Hope Therapy Center’s Cancellation and Refund Policy will be as follows to assure consistency and is applicable to all trainings offered by A New Hope Therapy Center.

Registrations canceled on or before two weeks prior to the event is refundable but subject to a $25 administrative fee.

Registrations canceling with less than two weeks will not receive a refund. The refund and cancellation policy will not be waived. Registration fees may be transferred to another individual for the same event.

In the event A New Hope Therapy Center must cancel the conference due to unforeseen circumstances, A New Hope Therapy Center will refund the cost of registration. However, A New Hope Therapy Center does not assume responsibility for any additional costs, charges, or expenses; to include, charges made for travel and lodging.
